TonalBrain Mix runs on macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs, and on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, as an AU, VST3 or AAX Native plugin in your DAW.

Which operating systems does TonalBrain Mix support?
macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later, and Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit).
TonalBrain Mix is not available for Linux, iOS or Android.
Does TonalBrain Mix run natively on Apple silicon?
Yes. TonalBrain Mix runs natively on Apple silicon Macs and on Intel Macs.
Does TonalBrain Mix run on Windows on Arm?
No. TonalBrain Mix for Windows is built for 64-bit Intel and AMD (x64) processors. There is no native version for Windows on Arm.
Which plugin formats are available?
On macOS: AU, VST3, AAX Native. On Windows: VST3, AAX Native.
One installer includes all formats. On macOS, you select the formats that you use during the installation.
AAX Native is for Pro Tools. There is no AAX DSP (HDX) version.
Which DAW do I need?
You need a DAW that loads AU, VST3 or AAX plugins, for example Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, REAPER or Bitwig Studio. TonalBrain Mix is a plugin: it runs inside your DAW.

Do I need an internet connection?
You need an internet connection only to sign in and to get suggestions. Mixing with the current settings does not need a connection.
Your audio stays on your computer. The plugin sends only measurements of your tracks, with the track names and the genre.
Without a connection, and without credits, the plugin and all its effects keep working.
Do I need an account?
Yes. You sign in to the plugin with a TonalBrain account. New accounts get 3 free credits. Create an account.
How do I update TonalBrain Mix?
When a new version is available, the plugin shows a banner at the top of its window. Click the banner to download the new version, then run the installer.
The changelog shows the changes in each version.
