Sidechain setup

To finish the sidechain setup, open the plugin of the track in the message, set the trigger track as its sidechain input in your DAW, then play your song.

After an analysis, the plugin can show: “Sidechain routing needed: Kick into Bass. Open the Bass plugin to finish.”

  1. 1Open the plugin window of the track in the message (here: Bass).Result: The window shows ROUTE KICK.
  2. 2In your DAW, set the trigger track (here: Kick) as the sidechain input of this plugin. See How to route a sidechain for the steps in your DAW.
  3. 3Play your song for a few seconds.Result: The window shows CALIBRATING, then SIDECHAIN CALIBRATED, and closes.

To do it later, click SKIP. Until the sidechain receives a signal, the Sidechain Compressor panel shows NO SC. When the sidechain works, NO SC goes away.
