How to route a sidechain

TonalBrain Mix listens to a second track (the trigger) to learn how your session is routed. You point that trigger track at the plugin's sidechain input, and the plugin does the rest. The exact clicks depend on your DAW — pick yours below.

The idea, in any DAW

  1. Put TonalBrain Mix on the track you want to process.
  2. Find the trigger track whose signal should drive it.
  3. Route the trigger track's output to the plugin's sidechain input — via a send, a key input, or your DAW's sidechain selector.
  4. Play the section. The plugin's sidechain meter should move with the trigger. That's it.
