Sidechain routing

Ableton Live

  1. 1Put TonalBrain Mix on the track you want to process (the ducked / receiving track).
  2. 2Live does not expose a sidechain source selector for third-party plugins, so route the trigger explicitly: set the trigger track's Audio To to 'Sends Only' is NOT needed — instead create a return or use the plugin's own sidechain input if shown.
  3. 3Confirm in the plugin that the sidechain meter responds when the trigger track plays.

Ableton's third-party sidechain routing is the least direct of the major DAWs. If the sidechain meter stays silent, contact support and we'll walk you through your Live version.
